Anna Pennati is an artist addressed to the international art world, in her 25-year career she has participated in over 50 exhibitions in private galleries and museum spaces, including the Museum of Capuchin Cultural Heritage of Assisi, Miart in Milan, Artspace Galleries in London and the Northwest Sezession in Wilhelmshaven (Germany)..

We are pleased to present this event which will feature an exclusive world premiere of the artworks by Anna Pennati entitled The Black Series.
These artworks embrace the essence of design and will then be exhibited during the *Fuorisalone - Milano Design Week 2022* at *Almach Art Gallery* in Italy.

9 mixed media on paper, then applied on canvas, constitute the Black Series: from an intense black background, which attract and hypnotize us, leading to isolate ourselves from our surroundings, white shapes appear, representing objects from distant worlds, but that we find in our unconscious, which then communicates with them, perceiving their sounds and vibrations, creating a unique fantastic harmony.

The works are the result of a long research that Anna Pennati has been carrying out for many years towards the expression of what can be defined as the archetype of forms and ideas.

In the latest works, forms, colors and lines continuously chase each other, sometimes "collaborating," sometimes "excluding" each other to arrive at artworks where the research is aimed at the archetype of ideas. The works are thus the essential expression of thought and dialogue with the viewer both visually, and mentally, allowing themselves to be slowly perceived.

5 wooden sculptures, totally white, represent instead the Dryads, nymphs of the trees, with their sinuous shapes that actually must be observed in their "empty" spaces. The air ideally imprisoned between the shapes creates new figures that, because of their intangibility, penetrate more easily into our thoughts reaching directly the sensitive worlds, without going through a "material" elaboration.
